Guided Holiday – 5 Unusual Ones to Consider

Having a guided trekking holiday doesn’t have to mean missing out on adventure – quite the opposite, having a guide can in fact mean you get the best of both worlds. The guide can lead you straight to the adventure without all the inconveniences, and can also be there to help out if the adventure becomes too much!

1. Surfing Holidays

Never surfed before? Don’t know where to go? No problem. That’s what surfing guides are there for. They’ll take you where the waves are, arrange for lessons, arrange accommodation and just generally take all the hassle out of a surfing trek or surfing safari.

I get the sneaking feeling these surfing guides enjoy their jobs too, can’t think why.

2. Antarctica

“Cold” is what most people think when Antarctica is mentioned. “Cool” is how some of the Antarctica tour companies want you to think, seeking to portray it as the ultimate in fashionable destinations. I’ll admit I can see a certain coolness factor in telling your friends you’ve just spent a couple of weeks in the freezer down south.

What is beyond doubt is that Antarctica is a spectacular wilderness that few people get to see. To go would give you memories and stories for a lifetime. There are a lot of different guided options available and it’s probably best to have a guide if you’re going to trek around. Is this a wilderness you want to be alone in?

3. Mt Everest

On May 10 1986 8 people died in a single day on Mount Everest. Several of them had limited climbing experience but were there as part of a guided ascent. Journalist John Krakauer was part of the guided group and subsequently wrote a bestselling account of the tragedy.

Like many my assumption was that the harrowing tale would mean no further guided climbs of Everest. How wrong I was. The publicity resulted in a huge increase of demand for guided climbs of the worlds tallest Mountain, and there are now several such guided ascents each year.

So if you’ve always had a hankering to stand on top of the world on your guided trekking holiday, you may be able to.

4. Canoeing in Canada

Trekking while sitting down – could there be anything better? Try a canoeing trip! Admittedly after paddling all day your arms could feel like they are about to drop off, but I for one am seduced by the idea of spending days in the Canadian wilderness paddling down a river. Fresh air, mountains, freshly caught fish.

To organize a trip like this yourself would take a better doing, so the best idea is to get a guide to take you.

5. Camel trekking

Trekking while sitting down again, but not so comfortably this time. As the old saying goes a camel may well be a horse designed by a committee, but there is something unique and even romantic about traveling through the desert on a camel.

Available in such countries as Morocco, Dubai and Egypt, a guided camel trek can provide the most authentic and fun way to explore the shifting sands.

Surfs UP in Fiji

Are you in search of an exhilarating experience that will also help you beat the heat? Do you want a vacation that will provide with an extreme adrenaline rush? Well then Fiji is the place to be. Fiji is a group of islands which comprising of over 330 islands of the fringe of South Pacific. Location wise it lays on the south of Tuvalu, west of Tonga and east of Vanuatu. Geography wise it has a number of formations of Coral Reefs which make the place suitable for surfing. Yes! Fiji is one of the best places in the world for surfing if you are a beginner. Fiji is one of the best places for surfing even if you are not an experienced surfer.

All Surf points are coral reefs. You have got to take a boat and reach your destined point. Some of the famous points are Cloud Break or Restaurant. These coral reefs are known to produce the best break to the waves. These beach breaks provide razor sharp edges so they might lead you to injure yourself. However if you are a beginner it is advised that you go to other protected places in Fiji. These breaks can be potentially hazardous as you could end up getting a severe cut. If you are a novice then the beach break suitable for you is the Sigatoka Island.

Surfing has acquired such immense popularity here in Fiji that there are even international festivals held to bring all you surf freaks together. You can hire equipments based on your experience on surfing and also on your budget. There are many surfing resorts which cater particularly to surfers providing surfing guides and tours to their customers. Some such resorts which top the list are the Nagigia Resort and the Matanivusi Resort. And if you do not have the guts to take on the waves then you could just go to the shores. Watch and enjoy other people surfing. The best months to be here are from April to September. The temperature this time is quite moderate with bearably low humidity. Moreover the South East Trade winds blow across the land which makes the time right for sea as well as wind surfing.

World of Warcraft Leveling Guide – Ultimate Guide – WoW PvP

Playing WoW Has Never Been This Easy…

Hello everyone! I have been playing WoW for quite some time now but I have never really reached that far into the game. That changed though since I bought Zygor’s guide, it has done its job superbly!

The in game add-on helped a ton saving me from having to alt-tab every time and the guiding arrow is of great help as well!

Another thing I liked was the way the guide would skip over sections of itself if I would have leveled faster than expected, and the guide won’t even tell you to bother with those junk quests. Plus it sends you out on about 10-15 quests at the same time which you can complete all in the exact area on the exact mobs!

Before Zygor, I have used many guides without great success and then I found Zygor. I have tried Brian Kopp’s guide, BK’s Guide, IDemise’s Guide, other market Guides, and the free tour guide. Nothing came close to the leveling speed and functionality of Zygor’s Guide.

Here is a short presentation of the guide:

1. Easy download.
2. Continually supported.
3. Quickly gets new versions in parallel with the game.
4. Never leveled so fast – have done 60, 70, and 80s with Zygor in less than 10 days! Casually now I am doing a ‘toon to 80 in under 8 game days.
5. It is simple to use, minimized frame is great.
6. Content to the point and the progress tracking are just working really well.
7. The new version and the enhanced ability to change/modify skin and frame, font, viewing panels, etc. BRILLIANT!
8. Forums, Developer feedback, and general community AWESOME! and really adds to the support.

And the list could go on!

Here is my first experience with Zygor’s Guide:

I made 80 on my first serious Horde toon in 9 days and 18 hours. Why did I find this impressive?

1) I did a ton of instances. (I burned out on questing every now and then.)
2) I PVPed a lot. (Same reason.)
3) I leveled Herbalism as I went. (I hate backtracking to level primary professions.)
4) I gathered enough herbs to keep Inscription up to speed (Same reason.)
5) I sat around a lot talking in /g.
6) I would start surfing the internet with WoW open without /camp-ing.
7) I would AFK for 5-10 minutes at a time without /camp-ing.
